Nike LeBron 16
The shoe pays homage to the team's 16 championships.

LeBron James is having a rough time right now with the Los Angeles Lakers but that doesn't mean he wants to leave the franchise anytime soon. Perhaps a sign that he is still very much loyal to the Lakers is the latest colorway of the Nike LeBron 16 which surfaced today. Fans have been awaiting an official Lakers colorway of the shoe and next week, consumers will finally see their wish come true.

The shoe's upper is constructed of light purple Battleknit while yellow laces and a yellow tongue are found across the top. Stitched into the yellow tongue is a "2" on the right shoe and "3" on the other to spell out LeBron's number 23. The tongue also comes with LeBron's signature and the crown logo right above it.

One of the most interesting details of the sneaker is the back heel which is light blue and features all of the years in which the Lakers won the NBA title. For Lakers fans, you know very well that there should be 16 years there.

If you want to cop this pair you will be able to do so on Saturday, May 18th for $185 USD, according to Sole Collector.
