The Dolphins are going full tank mode.

With the NFL offseason officially underway, fans have been bombarded with a plethora of trades and signings. Teams who are contenders are looking to add big-time talent to their team, while those who feel like they don't have a shot are offloading their talent in hopes of getting a better draft pick next season. One of those teams who is looking to tank next season is the Miami Dolphins. While they haven't confirmed whether or not that's the plan, their latest move makes it pretty obvious. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the team has traded starting QB Ryan Tannehill, as well as a sixth-round pick in 2019 to the Tennessee Titans. In exchange, the Dolphins will receive a fourth-round pick in 2020 and a seventh-round pick in 2019.

As Schefter reported, the Titans have restructured Tannehill's contract. This means that the QB is on a one-year $7 million contract that is fully guaranteed. Tannehill could stand to make over $12 million if he hits certain performance goals.

This will make for an interesting dynamic in Tennessee as the team already has a starter in Marcus Mariota. Tannehill will be seen as a high-quality backup for Mariota who has been injury prone at times.
