Drake didn't take too kindly to Wiley's critique of his London excursion.

It all transpired as Drake was co-hosting a 1Xtra Rap Show with Tiffany Calver, where, as the UK-based DJ/promoter put it at the commencement of the broadcast, "we'll talk about [the] tour, we'll play some games, we'll play some music—it's going to be a vibe." Calver wasn't fibbing, as Drake was at his gregarious, and particularly plainspoken when another round of "Culture Vulture" came his way, courtesy of Wiley - once again.

In response to comments, Drake made during the broadcast with Calver, Wiley jumped on Twitter to air his grievances with the rapper's foray into UK culture from an outsider's position. The Tweets in question have since deleted (some remain intact, not all), but not before Drake addressed the comments live on the air.

For added context, Wiley has been critical of Skepta and Dizzee Rascal for consorting with Drake in the past year or so. Yesterday marked the first time Wiley foisted the burden of the blame on Drake directly, calling him a "paigon" and a "culture vulture" during the deleted-discourse, which included interactions with users taking on a devil's advocate position. Here's what Drake had to say in response to Wiley's "cultural appropriation" allegations.

"I like to enjoy what’s going on… I appreciate like all these young people creating all these things. It takes some real energy and synergy to create a good song. We were joking today about the comment that my boy left on the picture or whatever or on the video of me at Loski's show," Drake said on-air, referencing an unprecedented he made at a local grime show in London.

I hate that people think that me being into music from these kids that are trying to make it and trying to build a name for themselves is like ‘oh that’s some culture vulture…’ what does that even mean? I don’t understand what that means," he continued. "Would you rather me not acknowledge anything or support? Like that's some real like confused hater shit. But it is what it is."

We'll have to see how this one plays out, now that Drake has all but wrapped up his residency at London's 02 Arena. If you'll recall, the final curtain call came to be with Drake inviting J. Cole onstage for a duet like no other. While on stage, Cole revealed that he and Drake were indeed looking to publish material together. A week earlier, Drake stunned the 02 crowd by summoning J Hus onstage - whom they believed was still locked away on a weapon charge.
