Syracuse head basketball coach Jim Boeheim was reportedly behind the wheel of a car that struck and killed a man walking on Interstate 690 late Wednesday evening, according to reports.
Boeheim, 74, had coached the Orange to a 69-49 victory against Louisville at the Carrier Dome earlier Wednesday night.
Per ESPN
"DA Bill Fitzpatrick told the station (WSYR) that the man was outside his car on Interstate 690 after being involved in another unrelated accident due to bad weather. Boeheim's car struck the man around midnight."
According to reports, Boeheim is cooperating with the investigation, and no evidence of alcohol or drugs was detected. He was reportedly traveling at the proper speed for the highway when the fatal accident occurred.
