50 Cent has been releasing an onslaught of new material, much of it embodying the sound he was known for in the mid 2000s. While his recent tracks have found him sticking in familiar territory, a recent interview with Shade 45 found the rapper expressing interest to work with a couple of surprising artists.
"I haven't worked with Drake or Rihanna, and I'd like to work with them," said Fif, explaining that they would have to find the right song for his sound to mesh with theirs. “They’re artists that they do things that I don’t do. It’s a different thing. So we have to find the right song for us to be working with on each other."
The rapper had high praise for both artists. "I don't think anyone can beat Drake at creating relationship-based content," he said, "And then Rihanna, I think there is a shortage of female solo artists. It's Beyoncé, Rihanna and those other people. That's the way the shit starting to feel me."
As far as working with Beyonce again, Fif joked that Jay Z may have a problem with it. "Jay is gonna be like, 'No, no, why would you do that?'" he said, lightheartedly. "We had a song a long time ago: 'Thug Love,' that was like in '98. That's cool we got that tape. If we don't ever do it again, we got that."
