Alex Wiley is someone we've been championing for a minute, with his Club Wiley mixtape leaving quite the impression. Now he's got a new mixtape out, Village Party, which displays his more grown side while keeping the style of production we enjoyed so much on Club Wiley-- experimental, party-worthy and generally upbeat. For that, we can thank producers like Odd Couple, THEMPeople and Hippie Sabotage.
While we've already highlighted leaks such as "See The Day," "Ova" and "Vibration," prior to the tape's release, today we're spotlighting the Mick Jenkins-featured "Forever." The two collaborated on "Own Man" which was slated for the mixtape, but it appears it's been traded out for "Forever" which is equally dope, so no complaining.
Be sure to grab the full project if this has your interested peaked.
Quotable Lyrics
It's such a mixture of talent, and knowledge
And people and purpose and polish
All in the potion
My people lining, they thirsty, they hungry
They hurtin', they searchin' for water
I brought an ocean
But if you think it look hopeless
Your shit is outta focus
Don't ever think it's sweet
Because my wrist is not as froze
Give a fuck about the gold
