Nintendo is looking to put some beloved franchises on display this E3.

With gaming extravaganza E3 right around the corner, a few details surrounding Nintendo's plan have officially surfaced. While Sony's PlayStation has opted to sit out of the trade show, Nintendo is keeping the contents of their presentation rather close to the chest. Still, they've shared some of their plans via Twitter, playing host to the pre-conference Splatoon 2 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate world championship on June 8, a few days prior to E3's official kick-off date of June 11th.

Once a pair of winners are crowned, Nintendo will move forward with their regularly scheduled programming, holding their Nintendo Direct event at 1PM on opening day. Since they've already revealed they won't be announcing a new Switch console, it stands to reason that news of many beloved franchises will line the docket. Expect big updates on Pokemon Sword and Shieldthe remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Super Mario Maker 2, and more. Is your body ready for the first Nintendo presentation in a post-Reggie world?
