Now that the Boston Celtics have been eliminated from the NBA playoffs, the discussions surrounding the team have shifted to whether or not Kyrie Irving will leave in the offseason. It's clear that the superstar isn't happy and will most likely be looking for a new home come the summer. Numerous teams have been thrown around, including the Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, and of course, the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Lakers will be looking to load their team with talent to help support LeBron James en route to a potential playoff run and Irving could be a great option. Former Lakers player Lamar Odom was out at a Fashion Nova event last night and was approached by TMZ who asked about who the Lakers should acquire.
Irving was one of the first names Lamar said as he believes his connection to James would help make the team a success. LeBron and Kyrie won a championship together back in 2016, although their relationship was eventually broken apart by a trade. Since then, the two have patched things up so a LeBron and Kyrie tandem on the Lakers isn't too much of a stretch.
Odom also brought up Anthony Davis but admitted that it could be an issue since the Lakers were unable to trade for him during the regular season.
Who do you think the Lakers need to start winning again?
