Kanye West recently had an interesting conversation with Bret Easton Ellis (the writer of the Kanye-favorite "American Pyscho") for the latter's podcast, all about pop culture, from movies to books and more. During the podcast, Ye happens to send a shot at Zappos, the online store.
During their conversation, Kanye says this about Zappos: "I got into this giant argument with the head of Zappos that he's trying to tell me what I need to focus on. Meanwhile, he sells all this shit product to everybody, his whole thing is based off of selling shit product."
Zappos didn't take this lying down, they retaliated by releasing a fake commercial video for the "Shit Product." The 'new' product is actually featured on their site, with a description that says,
"Interested in buying shit product? You've come to the right place! Here at Zappos.com, we happily sell sh-t products to everybody! This is the throne, everyone has been watching. Whether you're #1 or #2, your clique will show no mercy, even in Paris."
Check out the ad for the "Shit Product" below-- it'll cost you $100,000. Did Zappos win this round?
