New year, new deal.

It's been less than a year since Kevin Gates was released from prison. Although he faced a few setbacks in his return to the free world, he's been back in action like he never left in the first place. The rapper is a few months removed from the third installment in his Luca Brasi series which debuted in the top 5 of the Billboard 200. As he continues to push the project, Billboard reports that he's signed a new deal with CAA.

Kevin Gates is the latest addition to Creative Artist Agency's expanding hip-hop roster. CAA will now be representing the "Money Long" rapper globally. Gates was previously represented by UTA. Creative Artist Agency's roster includes the likes of some of hip-hop's biggest such as Future, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and Rae Sremmurd. The agency signed Lil Wayne, who Gates has a history with, back in May.

The announcement comes a few days after Kevin Gates' wife, Dreka, revealed that two of the rapper's projects, By Any Means and Luca Brasi 2, received certifications from the RIAA. Luca Brasi 2 went platinum while By Any Means reached gold status.

Gates has been teasing new music over the past few weeks and recently unleashed his single, "Therapy Shit 4." The rapper also appeared on DJ Kay Slay's single, "I Do This On The Regular" which dropped earlier this month.
