Meek Mill kicked off his Motivation tour in Miami with plenty of star power as the following video recap goes onto explain. Not only did Meek Mill benefit from Rick Ross presence in the fold, but the former MMG-signee was also joined by Tory Lanez, Kash Doll, Melii and Lil Durk for an array of "medley-like" arrangements.
Lil Durk, Tory Lanez and Rick Ross all hearken back to some of Meek Mill's best recordings. Back in 2014, Durk was the rapper who provided Meek Mill with a green light to pursue his own version of Nicki Minaj's "Chiraq" which at its inception, received a similar stamp of approval from another native Chigaoan: G Herbo, the artist formerly known as Lil Herb.
Rick Ross' appearance is no less important because although Meek Mill's breakthrough to the masses was inevitable, it was under "The Bruce Springsteen of Rap" with which he made his discernible mark. Smash hits like "Tupac Back," and "Ima Boss" still resonate to this day.
The "Motivation Tour" picks up two days from now at the South Side Ballroom in Dallas, Texas, and comes to a close nearly a month later at the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta, Georgia.
