Kaila Methven, the heir to a giant chicken fortune, has made news today for an extravagant, non-chicken-related photoshoot. The shoot, for JMG Lifestyle Magazine, features Methven wearing nothing but a three-million dollar, diamond-encrusted Versace crown, some more diamonds covering her nipples and what looks at first like glitter on her hindquarters is in fact a dusting of diamonds on her shoulders and bum.
The photoshoot, for Methven was about more than just being naked and wearing diamonds, even though it was nerve-wracking to be so exposed: "for the shoot I had to be naked in front of about 20 people which was a little scary at first but it really wasn't about nudity for me, this was about creating something artistic and empowering with a woman's body."
Metvhen's fortune comes from her family's business, a South-African chicken company that, at one time, supplied 90% of KFC's chicken. Rainbow Chicken was sold in 1991, the year of her birth and has likely financed her more recent foray into the lingerie game, where she now owns two brands: Madame Methven and LDKM.
Methven told Business Insider about the enormous pressure of being wealthy: "as an 'heiress' I feel like any other person, just with more financial responsibilities and more stress. As with most people, the more money you have, the more problems you attain."
