At the end of last year, Piers Morgan jumped on Twitter and commented on Little Mix's "Strip" video teaser that saw the girls sitting naked, covering their parts. Piers told them to "put some clothes on" in a since-deleted tweet which sparked Ariana Grande's mom, Joan, to clap back at him. "Honestly what is wrong with you @piersmorgan. Didn’t your mother ever teach you, if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it!"
Ariana joined in on her mom's comments telling Piers that women are fully capable of being "sexual AND talented."
"Also @piersmorgan, i look forward to the day you realize there are other ways to go about making yourself relevant than to criticize young, beautiful, successful women for everything they do. i think that’ll be a beautiful thing for you and your career or what’s left of it," she added.
The good news now is that Ariana and Piers have proven to be full-fledged adults who can talk through their past differences and meet on common grounds. The "7 Rings" singer ran into Piers at a restaurant in Los Angeles last night and the talk-show host shared an image of them together, looking happier than ever.
"So... we bumped into each other in a LA restaurant, she joined me for ‘a chat’ & 2 hours later we were still chatting. We laughed, we argued, she cried, I nearly did, the drinks flowed & we bonded. Turns out we really like each other. Weird. Thank u @ArianaGrande - next?"
Ariana even added her own note:
