Chance The Rapper opens up about a recent act of heroism.

It's no secret that Chance The Rapper is a devout man. As it happens, Chance's religious nature proved to make the difference between life and death. The Chicago artist took to Instagram to reflect on a harrowing ordeal that transpired on Easter Sunday, during which he found himself thrust into the role of unlikely hero. "I never told this to the world by my friends can merch," says Chance, via his Instagram story. "I saved a persons life by myself on Easter Sunday this way omw to church. NBS on everything." Beneath the writing, Chance shared a picture of a car, half-totaled by a high-speed collision.

"Basically I was driving to church dolo, about to go south on lakeshore and another car drives into the wall in front of me goin like 90 mph comin off the exit. I was the only person out there when it first happened and his car was on fire so I had to break his window take off his seatbelt let his seat back and pull a whole grown man out the car unconscious."

Eventually, two others arrived on the scene to help, and the man was presumably taken away in an ambulance. Unfortunately, Chance has yet to discover whether the gentleman is indeed okay. "In reality I never was able to find out if dude was alright so if this yo uncle or something let a n**** kno." Blessings to Chance for coming through, as who knows what might have happened had he not intervened.
