Serena Williams and Roger Federer are probably two of the biggest names in tennis. How could they not be? Federer has 20 Major wins which puts him first all-time amongst men, while Williams has 23, making her the second most decorated female tennis player in the history of the game. If you've ever wondered how the two would stack up against each other, well, you're in luck. The two will be facing off against each other at the Hopman Open on New Year's Day in a Mixed Doubles match.
According to tennis.com, Serena Williams will be paired with fellow American Francis Tiafoe, while Federer will play with Belinda Bencic of Switzerland.
“It’s just very exciting for both of us,” Federer said about the match. “I hope that a lot of tennis fans are going to tune in and watch it because it’s going to be one time and probably never again in this kind of competition. I admire everything she’s done on and off the court."

Williams offered a similar response saying “I’m excited to go to Perth. It’s been a while since I’ve been there,” she said. “You know, I’ve been training in the off-season to be ready for Roger. I’m not sure how I’m going to do, but we’ll see.”
While it isn't the 1v1 match we've all been hoping for, it will be interesting to see how they stack up against each other.
