Nike Vomero 5
Drake is back to repping checks over stripes.

In the later stages of 2017 and early stages of 2018, it was believed that Drake would be ditching Nike and Jordan Brand to pursue a business opportunity with Adidas. Thanks to the lyrical venom of one Pusha T(hanos), Drake's line with Adidas was exposed as being called "Adidon" which is a play on his son's name Adonis. After the Pusha T diss, Drake and Adidas agreed to part ways and the Canadian rapper went back to Nike. In Travis Scott's hit song "Sicko Mode," Drake can be heard saying "checks over stripes, that what I like." Clearly, this was a reference to how he is a Nike boy for life.

Now that Drake is comfortably back with Nike, it only makes sense that he would start repping their sneakers and clothes again. Well, that's exactly what he did in France last night as he took to the stage for his Assassination Vacation Tour with a brand new pair of Nike Vomero 5's. The sneaker has some pretty interesting tooling all throughout and has a retro aesthetic to it. This particular colorway has never been seen before and features an all-black upper with red stripes coming down the side.

There is no release date or pricing information for this shoe just yet but we'll be sure to update you as soon as we know more.
