It was only a matter of time before an official lawsuit was filed.

Tekashi 6ix9ine is currently in prison as he awaits his trial next year. Many of his fans want to see him free so he can enjoy a few months of freedom before the real drama begins in September and his legal defense team is working hard for that to become a reality. Lance Lazzaro and his team of lawyers are preparing a bail package worth $1.5 million for 6ix9ine to possibly be released from prison before his trial begins. In an unrelated case, Tekashi still has legal drama carrying over from other cases, namely the Howard University Homecoming performance.

At the beginning of this month, it was reported that the "GUMMO" rapper was facing a $500K lawsuit for skipping out on a performance at Howard University. It was scheduled to happen at the same time as his Powerhouse appearance in New York and Tekashi chose to make a louder impact in NYC instead of sticking to his prior commitments. Well, it's likely going to cost him unless his lawyers can figure something out for him. According to TMZ, a lawsuit has officially been filed against Tekashi 6ix9ine for over $300K after he skipped out on his booked performance at Howard University.

With 6ix9ine behind bars, it will be pretty difficult for him to fight this. His legal woes continue to be stacked high.
