Every influencer, Flat Tummy tea advocate, Fashion Nova model, or social media enthusiast probably went a little crazy yesterday after both Facebook and Instagram experienced a worldwide shutdown that lasted for a few hours.
Soulja Boy hilariously took the opportunity to announce his own App, assuring all of his Twitter users that such a shutdown "would never" happen on his watch. While we don't know what exactly caused the worldwide outage, Cardi B has an idea and she's blaming the man who's living in the White House.
A fan tweeted at Cardi B asking: "can instagram please be fixed i need to stalk my crush." The "Money" singer responded with: "Lmaaaaaaaaaaaaoooooooooooooo I blame trump."
Facebook has since issued a statement on Twitter (the platform people were running to during the shutdown) assuring everyone that the issue is being resolved. "Yesterday, as a result of a server configuration change, many people had trouble accessing our apps and services. We've now resolved the issues and our systems are recovering. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience," the company wrote.
Both Facebook and Instagram are back up and running-- but still not completely returned to the normal state.
