With Game Of Thrones having wrapped filming, it won't be surprising to see the talented ensemble cast members start picking up their next projects. Now, it would appear that eight-season alumni Iain Glen, known for his portrayal as the grizzled, fightin' pit winning, Dothraki slaying, Grayscale surviving, bestie to Daenerys, Ser Jorah Mormont. While his fate in the upcoming season remains unknown (a friend of mine and I have a gentleman's wager going), it would appear that Glen is already lining up to secure the DC bag.
A report from Deadline indicates that he'll be joining the cast of DC's Titans, donning the iconic cape and cowl as Bruce Wayne. The series is getting set to return for its second season, and the official character description from the producers provides a hint toward the direction of his arc: “After decades of fighting crime as Batman, billionaire Bruce Wayne is just as driven to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his prime. Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson, the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success.”
Game Of Thrones fans already know that Ser Jorah Mormont is not to be trifled with, and given Glen's notable gravitas, he'll likely make an incredible Batman. And one with immense bat honor, at that. Anyone watch Titans out there?
