Goldberg will be back in a WWE ring next month as the company heads to Saudi Arabia for a special event at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium on June 7. WWE has not yet announced any of the matches on the Saudi Arabia card, but Goldberg's recent social media activity could provide a clue of "who's next."
Bobby Lashley recently took to twitter with the following message, "So I hear @Goldberg is coming back..." and the former Universal Champion quickly responded with a fist emoji. Again, this certainly isn't confirmation that a Lashley vs Goldberg bout is in the works, but it's the most notable interaction he has had with a WWE superstar in two years.
Goldberg has not competed in the WWE since dropping the Universal Championship to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33 in 2017.
Speaking of Lesnar, the Beast Incarnate last fought at Wrestlemania 35 on April 7, where he dropped the title to Seth Rollins. Lesnar was reportedly mulling a return to UFC, but UFC President Dana White recently revealed that the former Heavyweight champion has decided to retire from fighting inside the octagon. Will he get his rematch against Rollins on June 7?
We expect to find out more details regarding WWE's plans for Goldberg, Lesnar, Undertaker and the rest of the Saudi Arabia card following the Money In The Bank PPV event on May 19.
