VH1 aired their annual Dear Mama event this past Monday, that sees many stars pay tribute to their mother's ahead of Mother's Day. T.I. took to the stage to make a special announcement, dedicating a scholarship in honor of his late sister Precious Harris, to one a lucky recipient.
As we previously posted, T.I.'s sister sadly passed away in February after she was put on life support from a car crash and became no longer responsive. “The world lost another woman, who was a pivotal part of my development, an incredible lady. My sister Precious, she was a single mother who worked to make life better for her children and everyone she encountered," T.I. said at the event, as seen in the video below.
The “Precious Chapman Scholarship” has now been awarded to a single mother by the name of Tierani Scott, who is a junior at Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arizona. Tierani is majoring in sociology and maintaining a 3.0 GPA at the same time. "It is our hope that this scholarship will help her continue on her path to do great things in her future," T.I. added. "I'm honoured to present the Precious Chapman Scholarship in the amount of $25,000."
