The Eagles quarterback was one percent away from his bonus.

The Philadelphia Eagles just barely squeaked into the playoffs this weekend after defeating the Washington Redskins 24-0 on Sunday. Quarterback Nick Foles threw two touchdowns in the game and threw 25 straight completions. Not to mention he led the team to three straight wins which is what propelled them into the playoffs. Despite that, an injury in Sunday's game prevented him from earning a $1 million bonus.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Foles had to lead the team to the postseason and play in 33% of the team's plays on Sunday in order to earn an extra $1 million. During the game, Foles bruised his ribs which forced him out of the match early. When all was said and done, Foles has played 32% of the team's snaps, meaning he was only one percent away from his target.

Luckily for Foles and the Eagles, the Super Bowl-winning quarterback will be able to play next weekend in the team's wild-card matchup against the Chicago Bears, according to Complex.

Even though Foles missed out on $1 million, he'll probably stand to make a couple of bucks if he can make another Super Bowl run with the Eagles this year. Although it will be tough with teams like the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams dominating the NFC this season.
