Dame Dash has been making headlines of late. Heated feuds with Funkmaster Flex and Nick Cannon tend to have that effect. In fact, some might say that the Roc-A-Fella icon has been having somewhat of a tumultuous month. Now, a new development has surfaced, forcing Dash to contend with yet another unexpected adversary. As it happens, TMZ has issued a report detailing a new lawsuit aimed at Dash, over his involvement (or lack thereof) in a film called Dear Frank.
To clarify, Dash is reportedly being sued by Dear Frank's director Josh Webber and Muddy Water Pictures. Apparently, Dash was originally involved in the film's production, but was ultimately dropped. Still, that hasn't stopped him from promoting the movie, using its original title of The List, and further insinuating his continued involvement. The lawsuit claims that Dash has been sending promotional materials to Networks like BET, which is in turn causing marketplace confusion.

The suit paints a picture of Dash's departure from his prior directorial duties, after proving incapable of delivering to the expected standard; in fact, Webber and MWP indicate that the mogul was frequently high on set. The conflict led to the team to drop Dame in 2018, and continue making the film without him. Now, with the film set to be released in February, Dame has been promoting it as if all was well; not unlike the time when George Costanza quit his job in a fit of rage, and returned the following day as if nothing had happened.
Right now, Dame is facing charges of defamation and copyright infringement. In addition, Josh Webber and Muddy Waters Pictures also want Dash to cease all involvement with Dear Frank. TMZ also reports that Dash will be clapping back with a lawsuit of his own, so be sure to stay tuned for this one to unfold.
