While 2018 yielded full-length albums from damn-near every prominent A-list rapper, there were a few notable exceptions. The year was markedly 2 Chainz-free, despite the fact that his Rap Or Go To The League project was announced at the onset of the year. Of course, Tity Boi made sure to sate us with The Play Don't Care Who Make It, a four-track prequel to the big show. Sadly, 2 Chainz' new album never arrived, leaving fans looking toward 2019 with hungry eyes.
Over the weekend, 2 Chainz made sure to remind fans that his magnum opus remained en route, using Joe Budden and Charlamagne's Pull Up special as a promotional platform. Sharing a clip in which the two hosts discuss the potential of Tity's new album, 2 Chainz promised big things still to come. "RAP OR GO TO THE LEAGUE is an album filled with Game , Purpose, Substance ,Failure , Triumph," writes the rapper. "RAP ALBUM OF 2019."
Of course, it wasn't long ago that Pretty Girls Like Trap Music was garnering acclaim, with many dubbing it 2 Chainz' most complete body of work to date. It seems as if the Atlanta rapper continues to improve with every passing year, and the notion that Rap Or Go To The League might be his best album yet certainly bodes well. Stay tuned for more news, including the inevitable release date, and sound off below. What are your expectations?
