Machine Gun Kelly was quite close to ending the year off on a different note, what with his role in the hyper-successful Bird Box Netflix film, but instead MGK decided to incite some controversy, ruffling some feathers before 2019 arrives.
On Sunday, he took to Instagram to upload a clip from the music video for his Eminem diss track "Rap Devil," writing in his caption, "just to piss y’all off one more time before the year’s over. “y’all still BIG mad. fuck rap god. i’m the rap devil. goodbye 2018.”
This minor shot arrives at the tail end of a winding beef between Eminem and MGK which began when Marshall dropped off the surprise Kamikaze album in August. On the project's "Not Alike" track, Em fired a few shots at MGK's way and soon the younger emcee had no choice but to issue a proper response with "Rap Devil."
Eminem, much to fans' delight, would respond with his "Killshot"" track which seemed to bring things to an end. "Killshot" since earned the title of YouTube's biggest Hip Hop video debut and has earned over 215 million views to date.
MGK decided that the silence couldn't last for too long and decided to issue this petty message once more before 2018 is over with. Only time will tell if it is enough to spark another round between the two emcees.
