Lonzo got to play with one of his idols this season.

Despite the addition of LeBron James to the Los Angeles Lakers roster, the team was still a failure as they missed the playoffs. The team was plagued with injuries all throughout the year, most notably to players like James, Rajon Rondo, and of course, Lonzo Ball. Lonzo was the subject of plenty of trade rumors this season, particularly during the whole Anthony Davis saga. It was a pretty tumultuous time for the Lakers but the players escaped without being moved.

At an end-of-season press conference on Wednesday, Lonzo spoke about his experience this season. He even praised LeBron, saying that it was surreal to get to play with him this season.

"It was a dream come true for me," Ball said according to Sporting News. "Watching him my whole life, it was everything I thought it would be. He's not only a great basketball player but a great person. I looked at him like a big brother."

Lonzo also spoke about Magic Johnson's sudden departure from the Lakers. Just like the rest of us, Lonzo was surprised.

"It shocked me, like it did the rest of the world," Ball said. "It's what's best for him. I wish him the best. He drafted me, and this is better for his life. This is what he wants to do, and I'm behind him 100 percent."

It remains to be seen what Lonzo's future with the Lakers will hold. For now, though, he's still very much a part of the team.
