The full 2019 NFL regular season schedule has not yet been revealed to the public, and the league hasn't announced when the 17-week slate will be available. That said, some players have already seen what's in store, including new Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
OBJ took to twitter Wednesday night to tease a Week 1 surprise, which leads us to believe he'll be back in MetLife Stadium to start the 2019 season.
"Just seen the schedule, it’s funny how God and the universe works.... week 1 surprise."
Although the NFL schedules remain under wraps, we do know that the Browns won't be playing Beckham's former team, the New York Giants, this season - meaning a Browns vs Jets showdown in Week 1 is on the table.
In a less subtle hint that it'll be Browns-Jets in Week 1, Beckham Jr. commented on an instagram post by Jets safety Jamal Adams, "See u week one." As seen in the screenshot embedded below, Adams replied, "count it."
The NFL will be celebrating the 100th anniversary this season, which is why the league announced that the Chicago Bears will host the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, September 5 to kickoff the new season. Additionally, the NFL revealed that the defending champion New England Patriots will host the Sunday Night game on September 8.
As noted by @UStadium, the first ever Monday Night Football game on ABC was played between the Browns and Jets in 1970, adding more fuel to the fire that the two teams will square off in Week 1 as the league celebrates it's history.
