The Tyson Ranch is off to a great start.

Mike Tyson has announced the first event to take place at the site of his 412-acre Tyson Ranch in Hot Springs, California.

February 23rd, Tyson will launch the Kind Music Festival which promises to be a "micro-festival" that will "transform the desert into a pop-up concert experience complete with food trucks, a 'chillville', a fun zone featuring massive inflatable rides, obstacle courses and mazes, bar area, vendor village and limited edition hoodies."

The festival is set to be cannabis-themed in celebration of California's amended recreational marijuana laws that are set to go into effect on January 1st. The new laws include the legalization of recreational marijuana sales in licensed shops to anyone who is 21 or older without a doctor's recommendation. Public smoking is still prohibited. However, some cities have announced plans to open "cannabis lounges."

It's a solid start to things for the Tyson Ranch which is described as an "entertainment complex, luxury glamping resort, and cannabis research & design facility in Desert Hot Springs." In addition, a dollar per every ticket sold will be donated to the STANDING UNITED organization, a non-profit dedicated to battling drug addiction, and homelessness.

Currently, Early Bird pre-sale tickets are available for purchase at $55 a pop with the festival lineup set to be announced on Wednesday, January 2nd.
