Thompson made some controversial comments after the team's loss to Phoenix.

Klay Thompson threw shots at the fans at Oracle Arena on Sunday night after the team lost to the bottom-dwelling Phoenix Suns by a score of 115-111. The Warriors have lost six of their last 10 games and the loss to the Suns was just another example of the team's recent struggles. Thompson felt as though the crowd wasn't engaged enough and that the team was becoming sluggish because of it.

"I expect our crowd to be little more into it, too," Thompson said. "Like, I know it's not the playoffs, but it is our last go-around at Oracle. Least you can stand up or something when we make a good play, especially in the beginning. We need that energy, especially this time of the year. It's hard to conjure up energy every single night 'cause you're looking forward to the playoffs and that run."

It's been three days since those comments and it appears as though Thompson is now dialing it back a bit. The Warriors star took to Twitter to issue an apology, saying "I love DubNation. We have the greatest fan base in sports. We feed greatly off their energy in Oracle and I meant no disrespect."

The Warriors will look to bounce back as they take on the Houston Rockets tonight. With a record of 45-21, the Warriors are first place in the Western Conference while the Rockets are third.
