With the success of the fictional horror series, Stanger Things, Netflix has been on the look-out for the next big thing with a similar formula The tale of four children saving the world from its demise seems to be a well-liked scenario. That is especially considering the numerous records the Netflix-original show has broken. As such, the trailer for an upcoming new movie with a similar pitch, Rim of the World, was recently released. To note, we previously mentioned this movie as part of the 10 upcoming Netflix Original movies to be watch.
The movie previews the tale of four misfit teenagers who meet during summer camp. The lucky four will undergo quite the journey upon realizing they must band together to save the world from an alien invasion. The science-fiction and adventure film, directed by McG (Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle and Supernatural) offers another "kids-save-the-world" story certain to keep us at the edge of our seats. The script itself was written by Zach Stentz, who previously contributed to a slew of notable works including Thor and X-Men: First Class.
The movie is scheduled to officially drop on Netflix later this month on May 24th.
