Harden is in some legendary company.

James Harden of the Houston Rockets won the NBA MVP last season and this year it appears as though Harden is making a pretty solid case to win the MVP trophy again. He has been a scoring machine for the Rockets and has been tearing apart defenses all season long. On Monday night, Harden showed off his scoring touch once again, putting up 37 points in a 121-93 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. This was Harden's 20th consecutive game with 30 points or more, which tied a record set by Wilt Chamberlain that hasn't been challenged for over 50 years.

"Wilt was doing some obviously unbelievable things and numbers that nobody will ever catch," Harden said according to ESPN. "Just to be in the same conversation as those guys are just credit to the work I put in. That's what you play this game for, to be listed with those guys, those top players."

Despite Harden's performance, it was a pretty rough night for the Rockets who were outmatched by the 76ers all night long. The loss brings the Rockets to 26-20 on the season and are ranked fifth in the Western Conference.

They will look to bounce back Wednesday night against the bottom-feeder New York Knicks.
