Nike Kyrie 5
Kyrie Irving pays homage to the TV show with this new sneaker.

Kyrie Irving has one of the more interesting signature sneaker lines in the NBA right now and the Nike Kyrie 5 is no different. So far, the shoe has gotten some pretty great colorways and just like his contemporaries, Kyrie likes to dabble in pop culture references. With his latest sneaker, Irving takes those references to the next level with the Nike Kyrie 5 "Friends."

The sitcom came to an end exactly 15 years ago but it has remained a huge part of pop culture and the public consciousness. Kyrie understands this better than anybody as he fully captured the show's essence with this sneaker. The upper is black, with red, yellow, and blue highlights throughout the upper and the midsole. Meanwhile, the Kyrie logo and Nike swoosh are both white. Underneath the swoosh, "Friends" is written in the signature font of the show.

A line of apparel will drop alongside the shoe, including a baseball cap, long sleeve t-shirt, and short sleeve t-shirt.

Everything will drop on Thursday, May 16th for $130 USD, according to Sneaker News. As for the shoes, they will come in little kids, big kids, and adult sizes.
