This ATL rapper never seems to slow down or take a break. Immediately after dropping his latest album, B.O.A.T.S. II: ME Time, 2 Chainz was already working on his 3rd studio album.
In a recent interview with Jenny Boom Boom, 2 Chainz revealed that the day his LP hit store shelves, he went right back to the studio that night and started working on his next album. He also says that he’s already got a single done off the project too.
“I’m already working on my third album, I have a single already. I never stop– The day my album dropped, I went to the studio.” says 2 Chainz.
Now fast forward to later in the interview and 2 Chainz talks about who he would like to collab with for the next album. He mentions that he would love to get a verse from Jay Z, but would also like to get Eminem, Andre 3000, and 50 Cent on there. However, the 50 collab is something that’s already in the books according to Chainz. He’s said that the two have recorded new music together, but he doesn’t know where it will live on.
2 Chainz would go on and describe Em, 50, Jay, and Andre as the “A-A listers” of the industry, where as his fellow peers like Drizzy, Wayne, Ross, Sean, and Meek are “A-listers”.
“I always had it in mind that I was gonna put Jay-Z on my third album. I still feel like I have room to grow, I haven’t peaked out yet. It’s always exciting to get a verse or something from jay-Z for a new album. You’ve still got Eminem, you’ve got Andre 3000. You’ve got your ‘A’ list and then you’ve got your ‘A-A’ list. You’ve got your certain people that are very successful in the game right now– Drizzy, Wayne, myself, Ross, Sean…”
