Colin Kaepernick made headlines last week after settling his collusion case against the NFL which claimed that he had been blackballed from the league for his peaceful anthem protest. Some expected Kaepernick to go through with the lawsuit completely but in the end, he didn't. Now that the case has been settled, it opens up the potential for Kap to come back to the NFL. His attorney, Mark Geragos, says the quarterback still very much wants to play and even predicted where he may end up.
"I think you're going to see ... within the next two weeks that somebody is going to step up and do the right thing, and you want me to predict who?" Geragos said according to ESPN. "Besides the Panthers, it would not surprise me if [Patriots owner] Bob Kraft makes a move."
Carolina makes sense as a potential destination thanks to the fact that quarterback Cam Newton recently had shoulder season and could be out for the entire 2019 season. Meanwhile, the Patriots will need to prepare themselves for the final stages of Tom Brady's career.
"He wants to compete at the highest level," Geragos explained when speaking about Kaepernick. "This is a competitive young man."
Who do you think would be a good fit for Colin?
