T.I. is reported to be the man responsible for talking Rick Ross and Jeezy into working together again.

It came as a surprise to many when Rick Ross announced that his new single "War Ready" would feature Young Jeezy, who Ross has had a high-profile beef with, escalating to an altercation between crews at the 2012 BET Awards. "War Ready" finally dropped yesterday, as did some news of how the reconciliation happened.

T.I. claims to be the man who squashed things, explaining that he spoke to both parties separately, and reminded them of something the had in common-- a desire to make money.

That's about all we know about Tip's speech, but apparently it was enough to stitch things up between the two. The ATL rapper definitely has a way with words, as he once was able to talk a jumper out of a suicide attempt.

[UPDATE: T.I. Explains How He Ended The Beef Between Rick Ross & Jeezy]

Right about the time Rozay's new single featuring Jeezy hit the web, "War Ready", it was revealed that the man responsible for getting the two rap stars on a track together was T.I.

We didn't hear much of an explanation from Tip at the time, we basically just learned that we had T.I. to thank. Now audio from an interview with MTV has been released, in which the Kang explains more fully what his part was in the collaboration.

Tip doesn't want to take credit for brokering peace or getting the two MCs in the studio, he says that he simply spoke to his fellow ATLien, Jeezy, about the situation.

"I ain’t gonna say I brokered peace and got them in the studio, I simply said to one of my closest partners in the game — Young Jeezy — I simply said to him, ‘We done did as much as we can do with this. It’s gone as far as we can take it, ain’t nothing else to do’," Tip said over the phone.

"If it ain’t nothing that can’t be talked about, that hasn’t gone so far that a motherfucker can’t come back and do what the fuck we do man, get money. War costs money," he explained. "Young ain’t the type of motherfucker you can just tell what to do, but if you can present something that makes more sense then what he had, go on, he will give you the opportunity to make it make sense to him. And I think the same for Ross. They exhausted all of their other possible opportunities."
