The Super Bowl-winning tight end's future is still uncertain.

Rob Gronkowski's career with the New England Patriots has been a roller coaster of emotions, to say the least. The tight end has been one of quarterback Tom Brady's favorite targets over the last few seasons, however, a plethora of injuries have kept Gronk from achieving his full potential. The Super Bowl-winner even contemplated retiring last season after rumors swirled that he was going to be traded.

Now Gronkowski is telling the media that he isn't even thinking of his plans for 2019, according to Sporting News. “I haven’t been thinking about that at all,” Gronkowski said during a press conference. “We’re on the last game. We’re in Week 17. We’ve got the Jets, and that’s all I’m really worried about as of now.”

These comments come after a fairly slow season for Gronkowski. So far he has missed three games with back and ankle injuries and has only scored three touchdowns. The last time he only scored three touchdowns in a season was in 2016 when he only played eight regular season games, according to Pro-Football-Reference.

Earlier this week, Gronk's teammate Brady explained that he hopes to return to the Patriots in 2019. Brady is 41 years old.
