New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is reportedly mulling retirement this offseason, but it doesn't appear he'll be doing so in order to pursue a professional wrestling career with WWE.

Although Gronkowski stepped inside the squared circle at Wrestlemania 33 to help his buddy Mojo Rawley, the 29-year old Pro Bowler isn't looking forward to a second career in a physical business like WWE. Instead, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Gronk could hang up his cleats in favor of an acting career.

The Patriots' star tight end teased retirement following New England's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII last February, and it appears he'll call it quits sooner than later.

With the Pats back in the Super Bowl again, it's reasonable to believe Gronk will strongly consider retirement this offseason, especially if New England is victorious against the Los Angeles Rams on February 3.
