A Boogie delayed his "Artist 2.0" release date because "Hoodie SZN" can't stop climbing the charts.

Fans have been impatiently waiting for A Boogie wit da Hoodie to drop his album Artist 2.0, the follow-up to his mixtape debut, Artist, and they'll have to sit on the sidelines for just a little while longer. A Boogie shared on Instagram that while he did plan on releasing Artist 2.0 on Valentine's Day, he decided against it due to the success of his sophomore effort, Hoodie SZN, returning to the #1 spot on the charts.

"I wanted to drop it on Valentine’s Day but hoodie Szn ended up number 1 again now I decided to drop Artist 2.0 when part 1 goes platinum," A Boogie wrote. "Its almost there... Sorry for the wait. It’s worth it I promise I got ya."

Artist was first released back in 2016 and is currently certified RIAA gold. Hoodie SZN is A Boogie's most recent release, and since it hit the streets on December 3, 2018, it's topped Billboard charts and became his first U.S. #1 album. The young Bronx native has definitely been an artist to watch and fans are waiting to grab Artist 2.0. Meanwhile, A Boogie is gearing up for his "A Boogie vs Artist Tour" which kicks off in Austin, TX this Wednesday, February 20. The rapper will be on the road with fellow artists Don Q and Trap Manny until April 11. Don Q just released his hood love jam "Make Me Wanna" featuring A Boogie on Valentine's Day, so it's no surprise that these labelmates are going to hit the stage together.
