Whoopi Goldberg is an underrated style icon and she's finally speaking on the issue ahead of her upcoming clothing line, called DUBGEE, due for launch this spring. Goldberg says she was inspired to create the collection after visiting Greece where finding clothes that fit her frame proved to be a challenge. “It made me feed bad, like my body doesn’t fit,” she says. Her approach to fashion is based on ease and well-being. “I just want to feel comfortable," she added. Her DUBGEE designs aim to "give the body space, to create a mystery of what’s under the fabric."

“You know, I love high heels but I always wore them with socks. And fashion is finally catching up to me. When you go to the shows, now you see girls on the runway wearing socks with heels,” Goldberg mused.
Goldberg, who started her career as a comedian with a penchant for androgynous attire, wasn't really considered for her looks. The actress recalls how she was perceived during the production of the 1987 film, Fatal Beauty. “Nobody who worked on that movie saw me as sexy," she revealed. "They didn’t even think of me as a woman. Because I’m black."
