It should come as no surprise that Future's seventh studio album The WIZRD is projected to be the No. 1 album in the country within a week's time, becoming the first offering of 2019 to hit No. 1.
According to Hits Daily Double, Future is expected to move somewhere between 120,000 and 130,000 units with 10,000 to 12,000 of those being pure album sales. While he has been hard at work, gifting fans with BEAST MODE 2 and producing the Superfly soundtrack, The WIZRD is Future's first studio offering in almost two years and will continue the streak that the Atlanta emcee has had in notching six-figure opening weeks since 2015 with DS2.
The WIZRD both marks an explosive beginning to the year for Future while also marking the end of an era as it will be his last output under the Epic Records umbrella. "I know how to detour off this road," he tells Rolling Stone. "That’s The WIZRD.”
Once again, it's a strong point toward Hip-Hop's domination as the year get underway with 21 Savage and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie respectively taking No. 1 with their own efforts in the past few weeks.
Elsewhere on the charts, expect to find Pharrell protege Maggie Rogers' Heard It In A Past Life effort clocking in with 35,000 to 39,000 units while James Blake's Assume Form project can look at 15,000 to 18,000 units total.
