2018 has been a year filled with unfortunate celebrity deaths. We've said goodbye to so many of our favorite musicians, actors, directors, and more as it feels like this year has been the most tragic in recent memory. Unfortunately, another one of the most talented faces in Hollywood has passed away as Frank Adonis' wife has confirmed that the Goodfellas star died in his Las Vegas home yesterday.
Frank's wife Denise told TMZ that he was experiencing health issues for years before his death. The main problem was with his kidneys, she says. According to the publication, Frank had been having dialysis and was on a ventilator for the final nine days of his life. His family waited until after Christmas to remove the ventilator.
In a statement, Denise wrote, "He will be missed. He was a great father and an amazing husband. He helped all his friends he could. Great writer, director and actor. He was my best friend."
Frank Adonis was a well-known director and actor in the film industry, most famously starring in Goodfellas and Raging Bull. He played mobster Anthony Stabile in Goodfellas. At the time of his death, Frank was 83-years-old. Rest in peace, Frank Adonis.
