Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air still stands as one of the most iconic television shows of the 90s. It was the birth of Will Smith's acting career and James Avery served as everyone's favorite TV dad. Unlike most 90s television shows, there hasn't been any sort of solidified plans to reboot Fresh Prince. However, fans of the show created a trailer for the show if it were to be recreated in 2019.
Sun-Squared Media created a fan-made film reimagining what Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air would look like in 2019. It isn't anything official but it definitely seems like it could be a rare case of an old show getting a proper makeover in modern times. The film is simply titled, Bel-Air and brings a gritty twist to the 90s sitcom while highlighting modern issues. There's even someone rocking a #FreeMeek t-shirt.
"What would happen if Will Smith made The Fresh Prince today? Bel-Air, a story of a kid from Philly whose life got turned upside-down... in 2019?" Reads the description to the four-minute trailer.
The fan-made version of Fresh Prince finds Will Smith being sent to live with his Aunt Viv and Uncle Phil in Bel-Air after police catch him in possession of a firearm.
Bel-Air doesn't look anything like the 90s sitcom many grew up with but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.
