Roots Picnic is set to return to Philadelphia on Saturday June 1st, and the lineup is looking particularly stacked. For one, the legendary band is set to perform their 1999 album Things Fall Apart in its entirety, in celebration of the project's belated twentieth anniversary. In addition, The Roots will be joined by 21 Savage, Lil Baby, City Girls, Blueface, Ari Lennox, The Joe Budden Podcast, Davido, Raphael Saadiq, and more. There is also a "live mixtape" going down, with Black Thought, Yasiin Bey, and J. Period at the helm. Check out the full lineup below.
This time around, Roots Picnic will take place at The Mann at Fairmount Park, a deviation from the traditional locale of Penn's Landing. On Instagram, Questlove explained the decision to change locations: "We going to greener pastures! We are moving the picnic to the MannMusicCenterGrounds in #FairmountPark. Yes! Literally GREENER PASTURES!" Should you be interested in roaming said pastures, check back here for tickets today at Noon. "Early Bird" specials start at $69.50, before rising as high as $89.50 for the procrastinators.
