Lil Wayne recently lawyered up to come for his former attorney, Ronald Sweeney, with a $20 million dollar lawsuit. According to The Blast, Sweeney recently motioned to have Weezy's accusations dismissed by a judge and claimed he made the rapper too much money during their time together for there to be any issues. Furthermore, documents obtained by the news outlet mention Ronald Sweeney as rebuking the title of an "ungrateful client" and calling Lil Wayne's lawsuit a "campaign by Carter’s other advisors to avoid" paying him the money they owe him.

Ronald Sweeney served as Lil Wayne's lawyer for over 10 years, until he was dismissed for reportedly being too greedy. The issues began with Sweeney's 10 percent cut, which sits higher than the industry standard of 5 percent. Moreover, Sweeney is believed to have attempted to acquire an additional 10 percent, but the Young Money head honcho shut it down. This is also considering the former attorney was not involved in any of the lawsuits against Birdman, where Lil Wayne truly needed legal help, thus adding insult to injury.

The documents obtained by The Blast also reveal Sweeney alleges to have made himself available to Weezy 24/7 and to have racked up a total of $20 million dollars in deals during their 13-year affiliation. Decisively, the fired attorney wants the lawsuit dismissed on the grounds that he rightfully earned every penny.
