Spacey's lawyers say his accuser let himself be groped for three minutes.

It's been a weird week for Kevin Spacey. Of course, you probably remember how Spacey was front and center during the beginning of the #MeToo movement as allegations of sexual assault started to follow the actor. After being scheduled for arraignment on a sexual assault charge, Spacey released a bizarre video to Twitter where he appeared to be portraying his Frank Underwood character from House of Cards.

Thanks to an audio recording obtained by the Boston Globe, we now know that Spacey lawyers have been hard at work trying to dismiss the pending case against him. In court last week, Spacey's defense attorney Alan Jackson tried to discredit the accuser, who is also the son of former Boston news anchor Heather Unruh. Jackson claims Unruh allowed Spacey to touch him and that the whole encounter lasted three minutes. "That's an incredibly long time to have a strange man's hands in your pants, correct?" Jackson told the judge.

Unruh says her son didn't report the encounter to police because he was embarrassed by the ordeal. Although she did add that her son was shaken up by the incident and told family members about it.

Jackson also told the judge that Unruh lied about his age, telling Spacey that he was 23 when in fact he was 18. Spacey's attorney added that it was Unruh who initially approached Spacey at the bar where they met.

Despite the attorney's pleas, Spacey will be arraigned on a charge of indecent assault and battery on January 7th.
