Jermaine Marshall, who played basketball for the Arizona State Sun Devils and even had a brief stint in the NBA, was found dead in his apartment. He was only 28 years old.
According to Arizona Sports, Marshall was playing for Hermine Nantes Basket in the French professional league. Marshall was living in Nantes, France, which is where he was ultimately found dead.
“The NBH regrets to announce the brutal (passing away) of Jermaine Marshall,” a statement from Marshall's team read. "The Club joins the pain of his family and loved ones and gives them all his support to face this terrible ordeal. The NBH is unable to play against ADA Blois on Saturday, Jan. 19 and has asked the LNB and ADA Blois to postpone the match at a later date.”
Marshall was with the Rockets from 2014-2015 but didn't get steady playing time and eventually went on to go play in Europe. Before playing for the Arizona Sun Devils, Marshall played for Penn State.
