As reported by Hip-Hop Wired, it seems the 22-year-old son of Roc-A-Fella Records founder Damon Dash was arrested last Tuesday (September 22nd) for assaulting his girlfriend, allegedly.
According the the New York Post, Damon Dash II, aka "Boogie", choked his girlfriend Chelsea after arguing with her over sex in his Manhattan apartment. He's being charged with misdemeanor assault and strangulation for allegedly squeezing her neck as they argued.
"They had an apparent dispute over sex," said a source in law enforcement. "She was visiting him at his apartment, he got violent with her, starts to punch her, slap her and shove her onto the bed, got on top of her, he grabs her by the throat and chokes her." The official complaint states that Dash choked her hard enough to impede her breathing, and the source also claims she had a black eye, bruises and a cut lip.
Damon Dash II was arraigned on Wednesday, September 25th and was released on his own recognizance, having been barred from making any contact with Chelsea.
