While summer 2019 already has a stacked line-up of festivals that each have an impressive lineup of acts to perform, Diplo has now dropped off a whole other option for festival goers since announcing his own festival dubbed The Super Mega Ultra Giant Mad Decent Block Party Festival. The party will take place from July 20th to 21st in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
Diplo shared the announcement on social media today along with an enticing lineup including A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Pusha T, Dillon Francis, EarthGang, City Girls, Billie Ellish J.I.D. and more. Tickets go on sale as of Friday and other excursions for the festival includes K1-Speed go-karts, paintball and the “world’s biggest bounce house.”
Diplo previously announced that Major Lazer's upcoming album will most likely be their last. The group, consisting of Diplo, Jillionaire, Walshy Fire, Switch and Skerrit Bwoy, have released four studio albums filled with some of the best turn-up beats. Diplo explained how the upcoming tape will have "a bunch of stuff you haven' t heard like that we made the last ten years. [This] year marks our last album, so we got a lot of stuff in between now and then."
