Hardy's UFC career has come with controversy.

If you are a football fan, you probably remember Greg Hardy and the 2014 season with the Dallas Cowboys when Hardy was convicted of domestic abuse. While the conviction was eventually overturned in 2015, Hardy was blackballed from the league and hasn't been back to the NFL since. He was also arrested for cocaine possession in 2016, but Hardy's NFL fate was already decided by then.

Now, Hardy is a UFC fighter with a record of 3-0. He will be returning to the Octagon for a fight against Allen Crowder on Saturday for the UFC on ESPN+ event.

TMZ Sports caught up with Hardy and spoke to him about the fight on Saturday, which has actually garnered some controversy since female UFC fighter Rachael Ostovich, who is a victim of domestic abuse, is on the same card as Hardy. The former NFLer says he just wants to stay focused ahead of the fight.

He also said that fighting in the UFC has given him a "new lease on life" and that he has tried to clean himself up ever since his days in the NFL.

The fighter than finished off with a message for his opponent Crowder, saying he's a "very dangerous man inside the octagon and I'm very serious about what I do."
