All Star center DeMarcus Cousins is set to debut with the Golden State Warriors tonight as they take on the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center, marking his first game in nearly a year.
In anticipation of his long-awaited return, Showtime Sports today shared a clip from "The Resurgence," a video series that documented Boogie's return from season-ending achilles injury, including his decision to sign with "the most hated team in sports."

“It was probably one of the hardest things physically and mentally that I’ve been through,” Cousins says, as seen in the clip embedded below. “It can drive you crazy just waking up every day doing the same exact thing. I’ve taken some positives out of the situation, I’ve learned a lot from the negatives. I’ve learned a lot through this process, I’ve learned a lot about myself.
“I’m using these lessons as a way to grow, as a player, as a person. I know what type of player I want to be and I’m not settling for an injury to determine who I am as a player. I determine my worth.”
Heading into tonight's contest against the Clippers, Golden State is sitting atop the Western Conference with 1 31-14 record. And now they'll welcome a four-time All-Star big man who averaged 25.2 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 48 games last season.
